Bringing an unforgettable night to a vast array of venues across the UK, Man in The Mirror captures the essence of a one-in-a-million performer. Starring CJ, one of the world's leading Michael Jackson tribute artists, this is the ultimate experience for any fan of the King of Pop. An evident dedication to the craft is displayed through the intracies of live vocals, perfectly mimicked movements, captivating choreography and rich alikeness of costumes. Accompanied by a cast of musicians and backing dancers to add further depth to the production, they are consistently a sell-out hit unlike any other.

CJ has kindly answered a few quick-fire questions to give an extra insight into his work.

What inspires you to want to keep Michael Jackson's legacy alive through your performance?

I have been imitating MJ since the age of 4, ever since I saw one of his live performances on TV. I realised that I had the talent to become a Michael Jackson Tribute Artist at the age of 20. My love for MJ's music and dance is what inspires me to keep his legacy alive.

What makes Man in The Mirror different from other Michael Jackson tribute shows?

A lot of Michael Jackson tribute shows have  artists who are good dancers, but don't sing live, or who sing live but don't dance well, or who look like MJ but can't perform like MJ. I believe that Man in The Mirror is the most authentic MJ show with a balance of all the MJ qualities performed to the standard expected by MJ fans, it's the show the fans deserve to see.

How do you select which songs and eras of MJ’s career to highlight in the show?

There is so much material to choose from and so many eras to choose, we try not to highlight a particular era, we fit in as much as we can within the space of a 2-hour show.

How do the live band and backing dancers enhance the production?

Massively, it's a team effort and every member of the cast is hugely talented in their field.

How does it feel to shift between your own personality and step into the shoes of the King of Pop?

When I'm not performing, I'm just your typical everyday average person. I'm not the type of guy who walks around imitating Michael Jackson everyday, but when it's time to go to work, then it just naturally comes out of me and all that studying from a young age just pours out of me on stage. It's hard to explain, I suppose it's just the passion I have for performing MJ's music and dance.

What have been some of your most memorable experiences while performing as MJ?

All of it, seriously, every experience I have is memorable whilst performing as MJ.

If you could talk to your 4-year-old self at the beginning of your MJ journey, what would you say to him?

I'd say, enjoy every second of what's to come and practice, practice, practice and make sure your work always leaves a memory and smile on the faces of the people who watch you.
